Good to know

  • CCB is paid monthly, usually on the 20th, and earlier when the 20th falls on a weekend or holiday (and in December).
  • Payments for July to June are based on your family net income from the year before, so you must file a tax return every year to keep getting it.
  • Most provincial child benefits are paid together with the CCB.

+What if my CCB payment doesn't arrive?

Wait 5 working days (10 for a cheque) after the payment date before contacting the government. Payments by direct deposit usually arrive on the morning of the payment date.
